CV SUMMARY 

A highly accomplished Executive & Non-Executive Director with recent high profile experiences in both Private and Public sectors. Gerard has gained extensive executive leadership and operational management experiences in UK and Global geographies.

 

A graduate of the London Business School Executive MBA and having read for a BEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Cardiff University, he has held several senior operational roles in the Global Telecommunications, IT & Digital Economy sectors.

 

More recently in the Public Sector as Chief Operating Officer with a UK Local Authority, he led a team of over 1,200 people to deliver large scale service operations and transformational change, with financial accountability for the c£1/4bn per annum budget.

 

In 2017 he was appointed by the Scottish Government as a Non-Executive to the board Scottish Government’s Zero Waste Scotland agency.

 

In October 2018, he was elected to be an Independent Council Member with Boundless UK.

 

Gerard has also previously served as non-executive on several boards in the UK, including Social Investment Scotland and The Wise Group (Glasgow).
