So far I've had a 25-year corporate career, primarily in senior roles in the global Telecommunications, IT & Digital Economy sector, though more recently in the Public Sector where I led a fantastic team of over 1,200 people to deliver large scale operations in my role as Chief Operating Officer with a UK Local Authority. I had financial accountability for the £220m per annum budget in this role.

 

I graduated from the London Business School with an Executive MBA in 2002, having originally read a BEng in Electrical & Electronic Engineering at Cardiff University.

 

During my career, I have also had the privilege of serving as a non-executive director on several UK boards in the Social Enterprise and Charity sectors.

 

Having thoroughly enjoyed the role of non-executive director, I decided to further gain knowledge and skills, by completing and being accredited with the FT NED Diploma  in June 2020.

I have recently taken on further non-executive roles, hoping to bring my experiences, influencing and guidance skills to bear on the organisations. Ensuring that my organisations are well governed, executing on strategic direction and delivering value to all stakeholders is a tremendous responsibility and one that I relish. I try to bring good governance skills, risk awareness & management, influencing skills and of course an ability to challenge effectively with high levels of emotional intelligence.
